Our already exquisite line up can be completed today by the true Melodic Black Metal pioneers of the 90s, who have been able to celebrate worldwide success until today.
And not only that, they will be playing a special set from their cult album "The Cainian Chronicle", which has haunted us in a positive sense ever since!
Founded in 1992, the Norwegian band has released seven albums, a demo, a split and two EPs to date.

It's not long now. To be precise, 46 days until the most beautiful festival in the world. Two bands are still missing and we are happy to announce the penultimate band.
Two years ago, the Finnish atmospheric pagan black metaller Vermilia celebrated her German debut on our stage.

Not only musically a real treat, because the whole live group also absolutely thrilled us off stage, so that a friendship could develop from it.
The project, which was founded in 2017, brings two albums and an EP with her and we are already really looking forward to this mesmerizing show

This melodic black metal project was born in the silence of isolation in 2020 and will release their debut album, entitled "Abraxas", this month.
The project has quickly picked up speed and has already played and planned several shows.
Alkhemia, who hail from France, have impressed us and we hope that they will do the same to you.

Happy news has just fluttered in from dreamy South Tyrol.
Our long-standing friends from GRraveworm are honoring us again after 2016. Time passes, the friendship remains! It's a pleasure to finally welcome the Italian dark metal pioneers back to the castle.
They have been captivating audiences since 1992 and released their tenth album "Killing Innocence" last year. With their very own mixture of thrash, gothic and death metal, which is characterized by dark atmospheres, powerful riffs and driving drums, they show that they have lost none of their toughness and energy over the years!

They have already played at our Fimbul Festival in 2020 and we are proud that they will finally be playing at Dark Troll this year.
Founded in 2014, the band will be celebrating their tenth anniversary next year and have released a demo, an EP and two albums till now, while their latest album "Skuld" was released exactly one month ago today.

HE has been a companion for many years and was also part of our crew for a few years.
We are delighted that he is finally returning and that we can welcome his new project to the castle stage, which will also be the first open air in the band's history.
"Born to be epic" should fits absolutely perfect for his new band Robse.
He has a great line-up for his band, his own songs and will bring some Equilibrium covers with him as well.
The album, which will be called "Harlekin und Krieger", will be released in June by our friends of Reaper Entertainment.

It took a few years, but the time has finally come and we can welcome Sylvaine to the castle ruins.
Originally from California, Kathrine has been living in beautiful Norway for most of her life. Till now she has released four fantastic albums and an EP.
Light and darkness, nature and urbanity, the introspect and extroverted, spirituality versus humanity. The music is all about balancing out the extreme outer points in sound, showcasing the emotions that arise as a result of feeling restricted by our human form.

Today it's Crewlove is true Love again.
This time, however, it will be a little darker and they will be playing for the first time at Dark Troll.
Our dear Malte has been with us for some time now and we are delighted that his black metal band, which was founded in 2018, will be making the castle ruins unsafe for the first time.
Last year their debut album was released via @TeufelsZeug Records and two months ago they were in the studio with our sound professional Irsins Sound to record their second album. We are looking forward to a mix of both albums of Norest!

Our dear Muscus has been a permanent crew member for several years now and his band played 2016 the last time at Dark Troll, so we thought it's definitely time to finally inviting them again.
Fittingly, their new EP "Ravenous Dreams" was released last month.
We are very much looking forward to the Folk Metal band Dvalin from Würzburg!

It's getting dark earlier and earlier and large parts of Germany are covered snowed. We thought that no time could be more suitable for the following band. In addition, the death / doom metallers from Thuringia were also requested by many of you.
They halready played at our Fimbul Festival in 2021, but they have not yet been to Dark Troll. So we are all pleased that this will happen next year.
They will be bringing a new album with them, which was only released in October, meaning that the band, which was founded in 2008, can now look back on five albums and one EP.
